Snowmobile tour to Avachinsky volcano

1,300 metres above sea level, tucked between two amazingly beautiful volcanoes, the Avacha Pass is a superb recreational area where Kamchatka’s volcanic character can be felt in its entirety. It is also the ideal place for those devoted to mountains and wild nature.

Objects seen from there include the Avacha Bay, the city of Petropavlovsk, the volcanoes of Mutnovsky, Vilyuchinsky, and Gorely, the Nalycheva valley, and the erupting volcano of Zhupanovsky. The pass is a must-visit destination in winter.

Itinerary:

- transfer to where the snowmobiles are parked;
- ride the sled attached to the snowmobile with stops at scenic places for panoramic views and picture-taking;
- climb to the Avacha Pass, where Camel Rock stands;
- hot tea, sandwiches in base camp;
- return.
