Eyvet, a nomadic camp maintained by the indigenous Koryak people, is located near Nikolaevka not far from the town of Yelizovo, and Andrey Pritchin ranks among the most awarded participants of Beringia, all-Kamchatka dog sled racing event. His guests at the kennels he runs will learn who a musher is, how dogs are harnessed, and what every individual dog is tasked with doing during the race. Visitors can also meet dogs who have run the race more than once and hear stories of the Koryak traditions related to raising racing dogs and making sleds. Feel the ambience of Koryak ethnic life, learn more about the aborigines’ customs and traditions, and enjoy a meal of traditional Koryak cuisine.
